New work

A sheltered place

A sheltered place

September has been all about contrast. Alongside working on much larger scale Canvases in my studio, I have also been enjoying some further exploration with combining Monoprint and Dry point, during frequent visits to the print studio at Digswell Arts.

I was interested in the idea of combining the scratchy drawn, linear marks, achievable with the dry point needle with the more ‘painterly’ method of mono print. Working on the smaller scale again has provided light relief from working on the much larger scale canvases which employ paint and mixed media.
